Seismic Peer Review
Review of Green Building Aspects
We offer consultancy on all practical aspects of seismic risk assessment of the project with respect to the vulnerability due to location, etc. – in view of multiple hazards that may occur in the region, geological history of sites, nature of the buildings, and any architectural or structural irregularities due to configuration of the buildings, etc. We provide seismic design as per the provisions of respective codes and inputs for analysis and design. We do foundation design as per the soil report and investigation report.
Trainings for Seismic Design and Construction
We offer training on practical aspects, location aspects, design elements and strategies, etc. to builders and developers. Our trainings on practical design strategies for earthquake-resistant structures and the provisions of updated seismic codes are tailored to meet the needs of senior, mid-level and junior engineers. We offer separate training for construction supervisors, masons, bar binders and others as per client’s requirement.
We carry out independent review and assessment of the structural analysis, designs and drawings with respect to compliance with seismic codes and practices along with the quality and constructional methodology adopted for the project. Our approach is remedial, to build confidence and ensure that consultation at early design stage yields the desired benefits.
Scope of our review includes compliance of seismic requisites in concept plans and investigation reports. Assessment of structural analysis models with working architectural drawing with framing plans, lateral load path and details of input including loads taken in input, structural analysis and outputs, provisions adopted in structural working drawings, foundation designs, specifications, tender documents, quality aspects and methodology of construction.
We also conduct detailed technical seismic assessment of existing buildings and offer advice on its structural retrofitting and strengthening requirements.
We review and offer expert advice for compliance of important provisions as per National Building Code (NBC), Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC) and practices in respect orientation of buildings, building envelope, thermal comfort, visual comforts, building design optimization, etc.
Support for Arbitration Against Works Contract
We offer expert contribution in handling and preparing different documents in arbitration matters. We conduct detailed study of all documents related to the dispute to ascertain the appropriateness of the dispute or the claim in respect provisions of contract document. We assist in the preparation of statements-of-facts, etc. for review by legal experts engaged by the referring authority and any further documents and technical correspondence etc. as required by the legal experts.
